Quality Manager (Audit-Focused, Food Industry)
Overview
We are seeking a Quality Manager with a sharp focus on internal and external audit preparation and execution. This role is part of an established and well-functioning quality team. The successful candidate will take the lead on managing BRC/IFS audits, supplier audits, and internal quality system checks.
Key Responsibilities

Lead site preparation and execution for all third-party and regulatory audits (e.g., BRC, customer audits, DAFM)

Maintain and update the site’s QMS documentation in line with audit requirements

Conduct internal audits and support the wider team on non-conformance investigations

Collaborate with production and technical teams to ensure audit readiness is embedded in daily operations

Work with the existing Quality Manager to strengthen the audit side of the function

Track and report on audit findings, CAPAs, and continuous improvement opportunities
Ideal Background

Experience in the food manufacturing or food processing industry

Strong audit background — ideally with recent hands-on experience leading BRC or equivalent audits

Proficient in HACCP, traceability, and food safety systems

Detail-oriented with strong documentation and reporting skills

Collaborative and capable of working within a small but busy QA team

A relevant qualification in Food Science, Food Safety, or similar is desirable
Both experienced Quality Managers and strong Quality Technicians with hands-on audit exposure will be considered.
