Meet the good folk who
make things happen 'round here!





Fergal describes his main role as supporting a great team of people who strive to achieve the company’s goals, mission, and vision. His role is simply to support these activities in any way he can! Before founding Hartley People and becoming a prominent figure in the world of Recruitment, HR and Training he worked in manufacturing, and completed a Business Studies Degree at the University of Limerick.
Hurling, reading, exercise and socialising are top of Fergal’s list of things to do outside of the office. He loves nothing more than going for a coffee to read and plan (global domination!).
He describes his perfect day as going out for breakfast, followed by coffee and the gym, then heading to watch a great hurling match, finished off with a few drinks with friends, and then to bed early! Fergal lives in Waterford with his wife and children.
Roisin began her career in Recruitment and Training in 1998 when she set up a contract/temp recruitment agency in Waterford City. Over the last 25 years, she has developed a wealth of experience in both recruitment and training and has a loyal customer base in the southeast and beyond.
Over the past 5 years, she has also dedicated her time to delivering training interventions within areas and she also regularly coaches individuals on career development and planning. She has successfully completed an ILM Diploma in Management, Diploma in Personnel Management and a Certificate in Training and Development and HRM
Roisin enjoys keeping fit, reading and music, she is a very well-known and respected figure in local GAA.
Fiona is our in-house Career Coach who has an uncanny ability to spot a spelling mistake on a CV from across the room!
Fiona has a Msc in Personal and Executive Coaching from UCC and is a wealth of knowledge on how to ace a job interview or create a really impactful C.V., and her services are in constant demand from candidates across the country.
Fiona loves animals (except spiders), and looks after three horses, two cats and a dog. She loves going out and holidaying with her family and is really good at spending money (just ask her husband!).
Gillian is a master of all things business and efficiency, and with a Master of Business Lean Enterprise Excellence under her belt, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table.
But it’s not all work and no play for our General Manager. She has a passion for learning and never stops and she’s always striving to be the best version of herself, whether that’s at the gym or indulging in a delicious slice of red velvet cake (or both!).
Gillian’s background is in Healthcare and Telecoms. She lives in County Kilkenny with her husband and children.
Aine graduated from SETU with a B.A in Hospitality Management over 14 years ago and was previously Head of Operations for a waste management company. She was there for their big moment on the Nasdaq First North, ringing the bell with pride.
A native of Cork, she now calls Waterford home is settled happily there with her husband and son. In her free time, you can find Aine sipping a glass (or two) of Jameson and indulging in all things relaxation.
Tricia, alongside her team, manages the temporary recruitment arm of the business. A real people person, she is the first to organise fun office events and is always good for a chat, even first thing in the morning!
Tricia is currently studying with UCD Professional Academy in Leadership and Management and brings a wealth of experience from her previous position in Non for Profit as a Regional Manager.
Her passion is sea swimming, and she can be found on any beach on the beautiful copper coast exploring caves with her pals. She cites her biggest accomplishment to date as completing Ironman Barcelona in 2019. She lives with her partner and children and loves having a crowd around the kitchen table for dinner, (did we mention she’s a qualified chef?!).
Ciara, who hails from Waterford, is ACCA Qualified, and is one of the longest standing members of our team She is a self-confessed creature of habit and has a spreadsheet obsession that spills out into her personal life (her kids call her ‘Casio Ciara’).
The beach is her favourite place, especially beautiful Tramore, where she walks most Sunday mornings whatever the weather, while listening to a bit of Tommy Tiernan.
Susan is a long-standing member of the training team having joined in 2003. She is responsible for the training, development, and progression planning for all staff in Hartley People Training. She has a degree in Education and has vast experience as a Training Manager.
In her spare time Susan enjoys walking, hiking, reading, and listening to good music.
Bridget leads the healthcare recruitment team and one of our longest serving team members. She previously lived and worked in the UK as a Legal & Commercial Manger for an IT consultancy and also has experience in the legal world.
Her main passion in life is golf and she proudly has an All-Ireland Medal in the sport. She spends her weekends playing at her local club and knows a thing or two about looking stylish on the greens.
Walking, traveling with friends and family and reading also keep her occupied in life outside of work.
Ashling started her journey with Hartley People as our Administration Co-ordinator and soon progressed to her current role on the 3Sixty team.
A self -proclaimed queen of organisation and list maker, Ashling proudly admits her life revolves around one never ending to-do list. Most recently that list is full of D.I.Y tasks as she’s busy renovating her new home with her husband to be. Ashling is a Waterford City native and a self-declared home bird. Her goal in life is to walk her dog on every beach in Ireland.
Damien is a proud Wexfordian and manages recruitment for that part of the county. He previously held senior management positions in a number of sectors including retail and hospitality.
Damien’s passion is creating something with his own two hands, whether it’s a piece of decorative art or a functional item for his home, he enjoys the challenge of figuring out how things work and finding creative solutions to problems.
A whizz in the kitchen, he loves to try new recipes, using his home-grown fruit and veg where possible, although he is a sucker for SubWay! He plays chess regularly.
Wexfordian Jess, is responsible for recruitment in the areas of supply chain, production and warehousing. She previously worked in hospitality and travelled to Australia to further her career in the sector before returning home after 4 years.
Jess prides herself on always being a glass half full type of girl who follows Wexford hurling, enjoys baking and trying to get the balance between gym and cocktails! She’s building a home in Wexford with her fiancé.
A former Naval Officer, Mark is responsible for recruitment in the engineering sector. He has a BA in Human Resource Management and in his former role was responsible for the navigation of a multi-million-euro state vessel across the Irish territorial waters.
Mark is passionate about music we’ll find any opportunity to ask him to strike up a tune! As a former member of the Army Band, he plays multiple instruments and even plays in a wedding band in his spare time. Cooking is his second love and when he has time in between all of that he can be found hill walking, swimming, or hurling.
Mark lives in Waterford with his wife and daughter.
