Operations Manager

  • Full Time
  • Wexford

I am working on behalf of a trusted client of mine, a well-established food production business based in County Wexford. They are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is a business with strong foundations, a capable team, and a clear appetite to keep growing. They are not looking for someone to fix a broken operation. They want someone who can take what is already working and make it better.

The role will suit an experienced Production Manager who is ready to step up into a broader operational remit, or an existing Operations Manager from a food background looking for a role with genuine scope.

  • Leading, developing, and motivating teams across production, quality, and logistics
  • Driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and waste reduction
  • Maintaining standards of food safety and regulatory compliance including HACCP and BRC
  • Managing site budgets and operational costs with a clear commercial mindset
  • Developing production plans that meet customer demand and business targets
  • Being a voice in capital and process improvement projects as required
  • Reporting on KPIs and operational performance

  • A solid background in food production or food manufacturing at Operations Manager or Production Manager level
  • Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong working knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP, BRC, and relevant Irish and EU regulatory requirements
  • A track record of improving operational performance and reducing waste
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to build an accountable, positive team culture
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and ground level
