Hartley People Recruitment are seeking an experienced Engineering or Agricultural Buyer on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Co. Carlow. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded procurement professional to join a fast-paced engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure engineering components, materials, and services in line with production requirements
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery targets are achieved
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, and supplier agreements
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate with production and planning teams
- Raise purchase orders and manage supplier performance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain and procurement function.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a purchasing or buying role within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Excellent organisational and communication abilities
- Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
