The Role
Hartley People Recruitment are seeking an experienced Production Manager on behalf of a leading manufacturing company in the South East
Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will be responsible for leading production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, efficiency and team performance. You will manage and develop production teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, oversee production planning and delivery, and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to achieve operational targets and customer requirements.
The Person
- 2+ years’ management experience within food, beverage, pharmaceutical or a similar manufacturing environment.
- Proven ability to lead teams and deliver results in a high-volume production setting.
- Strong knowledge of operational excellence, lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
- Excellent people management, coaching and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on quality, safety and performance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with ERP/SAP experience advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively across production, engineering, planning and quality functions.
- Knowledge of dairy manufacturing or related process industries would be beneficial.
