Hartley People Recruitment are seeking a General Operative with previous experience using fabrication machinery to join our client’s team. This role will begin with general operative tasks, progressing over time into a fully trained fabrication position.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble metal enclosures and components using hand and power tools
- Operate fabrication machinery, including break press (experience required)
- Perform finishing tasks such as grinding and painting
- Use overhead cranes and assist with safe material handling (training provided)
- Carry out quality checks to ensure production standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
Key Requirements
- Previous experience operating a break press or similar fabrication machinery (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality
- High awareness of health and safety practices
- Willingness to learn and progress into a fabrication role
- Reliable, tidy, and team-oriented approach
