Hartley People Recruitment is seeking an Injection Moulding Engineer for a client in Waterford. Responsible for introducing, validating, and optimising injection moulding processes to achieve high-quality, compliant, and efficient production. Supports new tool launches, process troubleshooting, yield improvement, and GMP adherence in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new tool introduction, trials, qualification, and handover to production
- Support design and debugging of tooling, automation, and process systems
- Execute IQ, OQ, PQ validations and process window studies
- Optimise yields, cycle times, and process stability using structured experiments
- Troubleshoot process issues and support production teams
- Maintain process documentation, setting sheets, and control systems
- Liaise with toolmakers, suppliers, quality, maintenance, and customers
- Ensure GMP, safety, and quality compliance at all times
Requirements
- Degree in Polymer, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- 3–5 years’ experience in high-volume injection moulding (medical/cleanroom preferred)
- Strong experience in process setup, validation, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ and regulated manufacturing standards
Key Skills
- Systematic problem-solving and process optimisation
- Strong teamwork and communication
- Lean Six Sigma knowledge advantageous
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Project desirable)
- SIM/RJG process methodology a plus
