Deliver Excellence in Construction as a Skilled Site Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly experienced Site Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of proven expertise in the construction industry to join our dynamic team in Ireland. As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and executing construction projects, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Execution: Lead the on-site execution of construction projects, collaborating closely with project managers, architects, and subcontractors. Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with approved plans, specifications, and industry standards.

  • Quality Assurance: Implement stringent quality control measures to ensure construction activities meet prescribed quality benchmarks. Conduct regular inspections, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.

  • Technical Expertise: Apply your in-depth understanding of construction methodologies, techniques, and materials to solve complex engineering challenges. Provide technical guidance to project teams and subcontractors.

  • Survey and Measurements: Conduct accurate surveys, measurements, and assessments of site conditions. Utilize surveying equipment and software to gather precise data for project planning and execution.

  • Health and Safety: Enforce strict adherence to health and safety protocols on the construction site. Identify potential risks and hazards, take preventive measures, and maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.

  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, including daily reports, site diaries, and photo records. Provide regular updates to project management and stakeholders.

  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including project managers, architects, subcontractors, and regulatory authorities. Foster open communication channels to ensure project alignment and smooth execution.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience: Possess a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Site Engineer within the construction industry.

  • Engineering Expertise: Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methodologies, and relevant regulations. Proficiency in Irish building codes and standards is essential.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, and meet project deadlines. Experience in coordinating construction activities with subcontractors and managing project schedules.

  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in using surveying instruments, engineering software, and CAD tools for accurate measurements, design, and documentation.

  • Health and Safety: Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations within the construction industry. Possession of relevant certifications in health and safety is preferred.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address engineering challenges and ensure successful project execution.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
