Senior Accountant

Are you an experienced practice accountant ready to take the next step in your career? We are recruiting a Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing professional services practice in Kilkenny City. You will work closely with Partners and a multidisciplinary team, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients while playing a key role in practice growth and team development.
The Role
Reporting directly to a Partner, you will take ownership of a varied client portfolio and contribute across client delivery, advisory work, and mentoring junior team members. This role offers early and ongoing client exposure and the chance to act as a trusted advisor to businesses across the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Review financial statements and tax computations for sole traders, partnerships, and companies
- Manage and develop a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors
- Act as a trusted advisor, providing practical, high-quality support to clients
- Support, guide, and mentor junior members of the team
- Work closely with Partners and colleagues to support practice growth
- Ensure deadlines, compliance obligations, and quality standards are consistently met
About You
- Fully qualified accountant (CPA / ACCA / ACA)
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a public practice environment
- Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and contribute to team leadership
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Commercially aware with a client-first mindset
- Motivated by continuous professional development and career progression
