Position Overview: As a Senior Accountant you will play a pivotal role in our finance department. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller (FC), you will utilize your industry expertise to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes and reports. Your contributions will directly impact our financial stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Month-End Close: Lead the month-end close process, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the FC to develop annual budgets and provide input for financial forecasts.
- Cost Analysis: Analyse manufacturing costs and variances, providing insights for cost control and process improvement.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, including VAT and corporate tax filings.
- Financial Audits: Support external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the finance team to achieve departmental goals and support the broader financial strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in industry.
- Strong understanding of industry accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
