Warehouse & Logistics Operative

Hartley People Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in the regulated storage sector to recruit a Warehouse & Logistics Operative. The Role

As a Warehouse & Logistics Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe handling, storage and dispatch of customer products within a regulated environment. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for maintaining high quality standards while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility.

The ideal candidate will come from a pharmaceutical/clean room environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Receiving, checking and storing customer deliveries accurately.
  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
  • Performing daily facility and equipment checks.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting quality reporting.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality, GMP and health & safety standards.
  • Assisting with general administrative duties and supporting the wider team as required.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant warehouse environment.

The Person

The ideal candidate will be organised, reliable and detail-oriented, with previous experience working in a warehouse or regulated environment.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience within a warehouse, temperature-controlled storage, manufacturing, pharmacy or similar regulated environment.
  • Experience with picking, packing and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to complete quality documentation accurately.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong command of English.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • A flexible, proactive approach with excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience operating an electric pallet truck or forklift would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Previous experience working to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in a regulated environment is desirable.
