Hartley People Recruitment is currently seeking Social Care Assistant to join a residential and day service. The Role
- Provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with intellectual and/or physical disabilities and autism.
- Promote and uphold the rights, dignity, wellbeing, and independence of each individual supported.
- Support individuals with daily living activities, encouraging autonomy and community participation.
- Follow individual support plans and agreed methods to meet the ongoing needs of those supported.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure consistent and high-quality support.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and respectful living environment.
The Requirements
- Minimum QQI Level 5 Major Award (or equivalent) in Social Care, Community, Health, or a related discipline.
- At least one year’s experience working with vulnerable adults or adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Understanding of current social care policies and developments within disability services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to follow care plans, procedures, and best-practice approaches in a structured environment.
- Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
- Full, clean driving licence and access to own car is essential.
