Hartley People Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client in the FMCG industry for a Brand Manager (ROI Domestic) to drive sustainable growth, profitability, and brand equity across the Republic of Ireland market.
This is a hybrid role – 2-3 days on site. Therefore the successful candidate must be living near or within a commutable distance to Waterford.
Reporting to the Marketing Director, you will operate in a fast-paced, competitive FMCG environment. You will translate consumer insight and commercial objectives into clear brand strategies, campaigns, and product initiatives that deliver market share growth and strong in-store execution. You will work closely with external agency partners and internal sales, innovation, finance, and supply chain teams to deliver impactful marketing plans across the company’s product portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Leadership
• Lead the development and execution of the annual brand plan aligned to business and growth targets
• Translate commercial objectives into actionable brand strategies that drive volume, value, and brand equity
• Act as day-to-day brand owner for the ROI market
Consumer, Shopper & Market Insight
• Analyse consumer, shopper, and category data to identify growth opportunities
• Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and promotional trends
• Use insights to shape positioning, messaging, and innovation briefs
Integrated Marketing & Campaign Execution
• Lead fully integrated campaigns across ATL, digital, social, PR, and in-store activation
• Manage and brief creative, media, and research agencies to deliver campaigns on time and within budget
• Ensure consistent brand execution across all touchpoints
Product, Innovation & Portfolio Management
• Support NPD, renovation, and range optimisation from concept through to launch
• Develop business cases, pricing strategies, and launch plans
• Review portfolio performance and drive improvements to maintain relevance and profitability
Commercial & Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner closely with Sales, Category, Finance, and Supply Chain to ensure strong execution in market
• Support customer-specific plans with clear brand direction and activation toolkits
• Balance brand objectives with commercial and margin considerations
Performance Management & Financial Control
• Manage brand budgets and forecasts with clear ROI focus
• Track KPIs including market share, rate of sale, distribution, and brand health
• Adapt plans based on performance and market dynamics
Performance Measures
• Delivery of revenue, margin, and market share targets
• Successful execution of annual brand plans
• NPD launches meeting agreed commercial objectives
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and brand leadership
The Ideal Candidate
• Degree in Marketing, Business, or related discipline
• Minimum 6+ years’ experience in FMCG brand management
• Proven experience delivering ATL, digital, and shopper marketing campaigns
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability
• Experience managing and developing direct reports
• Strong commercial acumen and data analysis capability
• Confident influencing cross-functional stakeholders and external agencies
