Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of our client in Waterford are seeking a skilled Nesting Engineer to optimise material usage and production efficiency by creating and managing CNC nesting programs. This is a full-time permanent position and a fantastic opportunity to join a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimise nesting layouts for CNC machines
- Generate CNC programs using nesting software
- Maximise material yield and minimise waste
- Interpret CAD drawings and production specs
- Work with production and engineering teams to improve efficiency
- Troubleshoot nesting and machine issues
Requirements
- Engineering or related qualification
- Experience in CNC programming/nesting
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and nesting software (e.g. SigmaNEST, RADAN)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Desirable
- Experience in manufacturing/fabrication
- Knowledge of lean principles and ERP systems
