Front Office Manager

Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of our client in Waterford are seeking a Front Office Manager that leads the reception and reservations team to deliver a seamless, welcoming guest experience. This hands-on role oversees daily front office operations, staff development, service standards, and cross-department coordination, working closely with the Marketing and Revenue Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily reception and reservations operations
  • Ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out processes
  • Lead and motivate a customer-focused front office team
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate booking and guest data
  • Coordinate closely with other hotel departments
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and appraise front office staff
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
  • Attend management meetings and complete administrative duties

Essential:

  • Proven experience managing a busy 4-star hotel front office
  • Strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Proficiency in hotel systems (ideally HOTSOFT, Avvio, Volante) and MS Office
  • Ability to commute or relocate

Desirable:

  • Staff training/coaching experience
