Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of our client in Waterford are seeking a Front Office Manager that leads the reception and reservations team to deliver a seamless, welcoming guest experience. This hands-on role oversees daily front office operations, staff development, service standards, and cross-department coordination, working closely with the Marketing and Revenue Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily reception and reservations operations
- Ensure smooth guest check-in and check-out processes
- Lead and motivate a customer-focused front office team
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate booking and guest data
- Coordinate closely with other hotel departments
- Recruit, train, schedule, and appraise front office staff
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
- Attend management meetings and complete administrative duties
Essential:
- Proven experience managing a busy 4-star hotel front office
- Strong leadership, organisational, and customer service skills
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in hotel systems (ideally HOTSOFT, Avvio, Volante) and MS Office
- Ability to commute or relocate
Desirable:
- Staff training/coaching experience
