  • Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants to ensure integrated project delivery.
  • Manage client relationships, acting as the primary technical and commercial point of contact.
  • Oversee design outputs to ensure compliance with Eurocodes, Irish standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and drawings produced in AutoCAD, Revit, and Site 3D.
  • Lead design reviews, technical meetings, and site inspections.
  • Manage risk, change control, and variations throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure effective document control, reporting, and governance processes are maintained.
  • Support directors in resource planning, workload forecasting, and project resourcing.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in project systems, delivery methods, and reporting standards.

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or closely related discipline).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil/structural consultancy, with demonstrable project leadership responsibility.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction standards, planning processes, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing projects involving structural design and SUDS drainage systems.
  • High level of proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Site 3D, with the ability to review and sign off technical outputs.
  • Track record of managing multiple live projects to deadline and budget.
  • Strong commercial awareness, including fee management and cost control.
  • Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously while contributing at senior level within a collaborative consultancy environment.

Personal Attributes

  • Organised, delivery-focused, and commercially aware.
  • Comfortable balancing technical oversight with project leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a practical, problem-solving mindset.
  • Proactive in identifying risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
