Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of our client seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Fitter to join a busy manufacturing environment in Drogheda. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with modern machinery, and being part of a fast-paced production team.
The Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults efficiently
- Minimising downtime and supporting continuous production
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records and spare parts inventory
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Fitter
- Experience within manufacturing or food production preferred
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals
- Experience maintaining production and packaging machinery
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexible approach to shifts and weekend work
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
