Retrofit Project Manager
Location: Waterford
A long-established building and energy-upgrade contractor in the South-East is seeking an experienced Retrofit Project Manager to lead domestic and commercial retrofit works, including deep energy upgrades, insulation projects, mechanical/electrical retrofit packages and BER-driven improvement works.
The company delivers a wide range of retrofit services across the region, including attic, cavity and external wall insulation, airtightness improvements, mechanical ventilation upgrades and full retrofit coordination. Their teams work closely with SEAI frameworks, local authorities, domestic clients and commercial facilities to deliver high-quality retrofit outcomes with a strong focus on customer care, workmanship standards and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full life-cycle delivery of domestic and commercial retrofit projects, from initial survey to handover.
- Coordinate insulation, ventilation, airtightness and associated construction works across multiple active sites.
- Lead site teams, subcontractors and specialist installers to ensure quality, safety and programme adherence.
- Prepare and manage project schedules, ensuring works are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
- Oversee pre-works assessments, including insulation surveys, ventilation needs, BER documentation and technical reporting.
- Ensure compliance with SEAI, NSAI and relevant retrofit standards, including QH, DEAP and quality-assurance frameworks.
- Work with design, technical and retrofit coordination teams to verify specifications and upgrade measures.
- Monitor site safety, work quality, installation standards and material usage.
- Carry out progress inspections, issue snag lists, and close out works to required certification standards.
- Maintain strong communication with homeowners, commercial clients, local authorities and internal project teams.
Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years’ experience in retrofit, insulation, construction project management or related energy-upgrade works.
- Strong understanding of building fabric upgrades, ventilation systems, airtightness, moisture control and SEAI grant pathways.
- Experience working with domestic clients and/or local authority retrofit programmes is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, site crews and subcontractors in a fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with BER/DEAP assessments, technical retrofit guidance and regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent organisational, reporting and communication skills.
- Full clean driving licence required.
- Relevant construction or energy-related qualification is an advantage.
