Location: Tipperary

An established construction firm in County Tipperary is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of residential and commercial developments, including large-scale steel frame and reinforced concrete structures.

This is a full-time, permanent role offering strong career development prospects, with a competitive salary package and the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects within a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the full cost management of projects from pre-contract through to final account stages.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to assess progress and manage variations.
  • Administer subcontractor procurement, payments, and related contract documentation.
  • Provide commercial input and cost advice throughout project lifecycles.
  • Coordinate interim valuations and manage final account settlements.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and industry standards.
  • Collaborate closely with site teams, engineers, and project managers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or related field.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a QS role within the construction industry.
  • Proven exposure to high-rise or large structural projects using steel and reinforced concrete.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement routes and construction contracts.
  • Proficient in cost management software and Excel.
  • Skilled negotiator with excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Working Hours & Terms:

  • Monday to Friday, full-time hours
  • Permanent contract
  • Competitive salary based on experience
