Part-Time Bookkeeper
We are currently seeking an experienced and capable Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a well-established legal practice based in Waterford. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys working in a professional services environment and is looking for a flexible part-time role.
Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities.

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.

Prepare and issue invoices and monitor client payments.

Complete bank and account reconciliations.

Prepare and submit VAT returns.

Process payroll for a team of fewer than 15 employees.

Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Assist with month-end and year-end reporting requirements.

Liaise with external accountants and other professional service providers as required.

Support the smooth financial operation of the practice.
Requirements

Proven experience in a bookkeeping role.

Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, VAT, reconciliations, and payroll processing.

Experience using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Professional communication skills.
Desirable

Previous experience working within a legal, professional services, or office-based environment.

Relevant bookkeeping, accounting, or finance qualification.
