Meet the good folk who
make things happen 'round here!
Roisin began her career in Recruitment and Training in 1998 when she set up a contract/temp recruitment agency in Waterford City. Over the last 25 years, she has developed a wealth of experience in both recruitment and training and has a loyal customer base in the southeast and beyond.
Over the past 5 years, she has also dedicated her time to delivering training interventions within areas and she also regularly coaches individuals on career development and planning. She has successfully completed an ILM Diploma in Management, Diploma in Personnel Management and a Certificate in Training and Development and HRM
Roisin enjoys keeping fit, reading and music, she is a very well-known and respected figure in local GAA.
Fergal describes his main role as supporting a great team of people who strive to achieve the company’s goals, mission, and vision. His role is simply to support these activities in any way he can! Before founding Hartley People and becoming a prominent figure in the world of Recruitment, HR and Training he worked in manufacturing, and completed a Business Studies Degree at the University of Limerick.
Hurling, reading, exercise and socialising are top of Fergal’s list of things to do outside of the office. He loves nothing more than going for a coffee to read and plan (global domination!).
He describes his perfect day as going out for breakfast, followed by coffee and the gym, then heading to watch a great hurling match, finished off with a few drinks with friends, and then to bed early! Fergal lives in Waterford with his wife and children.
Fiona is our in-house Career Coach who has an uncanny ability to spot a spelling mistake on a CV from across the room!
Fiona has a Msc in Personal and Executive Coaching from UCC and is a wealth of knowledge on how to ace a job interview or create a really impactful C.V., and her services are in constant demand from candidates across the country.
Fiona loves animals (except spiders), and looks after three horses, two cats and a dog. She loves going out and holidaying with her family and is really good at spending money (just ask her husband!).
Meet Gillian, General Manager of our Training department. Before joining the fold at Hartley People, a little over 7 years ago, Gillian’s experience spanned the telecommunication and healthcare sectors where she worked as both a HR & Payroll Manager and Fraud & Revenue Assurance Analyst.
Gillian is armed with a Master of Business in Lean Enterprise Excellence, as well as holding a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Beyond her professional life, she finds joy in crafting (and tasting!) fancy cocktails and immersing herself in a good book. Her pastimes extend to the gym, the squash court, the intriguing world of art history, and a proud fur-parent to five felines friends!
Gillian lives in Kilkenny with her three children, and husband.
Originally from Cork. Áine has embraced Waterford as her cherished home for the past 20 years. After gaining her Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management from SETU, Áine worked across the Waste Management and Telecommunications sectors in senior management positions. In 2019, she was part of listing on the Nasdaq First North.
In her spare time, Áine loves to be out and about in the great outdoors and enjoys all things sports.
Say hi to Tricia Quinn, Head of Operations at Flexiforce, Hartley People’s temporary recruitment arm of the business. A true people person, Tricia infuses the office with her vibrant spirit, making every moment, from your morning greeting to your evening farewell, a delightful experience. She is often one of the masterminds behind our fun office events.
Tricia worked as Trainer for over 15 years, teaching FAS funded courses, placing students in permanent employment. Following this, she moved into the non-for-profit sector working with volunteer led charities in an operational capacity including Cycle Against Suicide and Make A Wish Ireland, before joining the Hartley People team in 2021.
Beyond her professional life, Tricia’s true passion lies in sea swimming. You can often find her exploring the caves along the stunning Copper Coast, accompanied by her friends. One of her proudest achievements to date is completing the Ironman Barcelona in 2019.
Ciara is an AVVA qualified professional and is one of the longest standing members of the Hartley People team! Hailing from Waterford, she is a self-confessed creature of habit, with a spreadsheet obsession that spills out into her personal life – her kids call her ‘Casio Ciara’!
The beach is Ciara’s favourite place, especially the seaside town of Tramore, where she walks most Sunday mornings whilst listening to a bit of Tommy Tiernan!
Susan joined the Hartley People team in 2005. As Quality Assurance Manager with our training and development department, Susan ensures that all training services are delivered to the highest excellence, providing consistent quality, and compliance with all law, regulations, and environmental standards.
Susan has a degree in education with vast experience as Training Manager.
On the weekends, Susan lets her hair down by going on walks, hikes, reading and listening to good music whilst taking in the views of the picturesque Comeragh Mountains from her kitchen window! How spectacular!
Bridget leads the healthcare recruitment team and one of our longest serving team members. She previously lived and worked in the UK as a Legal & Commercial Manger for an IT consultancy and also has experience in the legal world.
Her main passion in life is golf and she proudly has an All-Ireland Medal in the sport. She spends her weekends playing at her local club and knows a thing or two about looking stylish on the greens.
Walking, traveling with friends and family and reading also keep her occupied in life outside of work.
Ashling started her journey with Hartley People as our Administration Coordinator, and soon progressed to her current role in Flexiforce.
A self-proclaimed queen of organisation and list maker, Ashling proudly admits her life revolves around one never ending to-do list. Most recently, that list is full of DIY tasks as she’s busy renovating her new home with her husband-to-be as they await the arrival of little baby girl! Ashling is a Waterford city native, and a self-declared homebird. Her goal in life is to walk her dog Keeko on every beach in Ireland.

Meet Damien – Adventurer, Explorer, Storyteller, and Regional Manager & Recruiter for Hartley People Wexford!
Unlocking the nation’s talent one step at a time, Damien has a passion for finding and developing a person’s hidden talents.
Damien loves to travel, having explored almost all corners of the globe! He also enjoys the challenge of figuring out how things work and finding creative solutions to problems.
A whizz in
the kitchen, you’ll often find Damien cooking up a storm, trying out new
recipes with his homegrown fruit and veg.
Wexfordian Jess is responsible for recruitment in the areas of supply chain, production, engineering, and warehousing. She previously worked in the hospitality industry, travelling to Australia to further her career in the sector before returning home after 4 years.
Jess prides herself on always being a glass half-full type of gal, and her close team can certainly agree with this! Jess is a ray of sunshine that brightens up any room she walks into. An avid supporter of Wexford hurling, Jess also enjoys baking on the weekends and finding balance between the attending the gym and going out for cocktails!
Meet Kathryn! A native of Omagh in County Tyrone, Kathryn now finds herself embracing the coastal charm of Wexford. Kathryn’s academic journey led her to achieve a BSc in Human Resource Management from Ulster University. She recruits as part of the team for Quality, Life Sciences, Retail & Administration.
Before joining Hartley People, Kathryn completed placement in a cross-jurisdictional government body, where she put her HR expertise to great use!
When Kathryn’s not the life and soul of the office with her full of life energy, you can catch her exploring the sandy beaches of Wexford, enjoying a few drinks with friends and family, or catching up on the latest F1, Rugby, and GAA happenings!
Rachel is a Dublin native, who moved to the southeast to study and loved it so much she decided to stay! Rachel graduated from SETU with a Bachelor of Business and is the Recruitment Team Lead in the areas of Quality, Life Sciences, Retail & Administration.
During her college years, Rachel worked in Starbucks, which she credits for her love of coffee.
When she’s not at work, Rachel can be found cuddling her dog Harley and cat Nacho, fuelling her coffee cravings, or booking her next trip! One thing that can be guaranteed, is Rachel will always have 2 flights booked at any one time!

Darren recruits for IT, HR, Agricultural & Commercial Sales roles and is our unofficial IT Expert/general helper-outer!
Darren very generously gives his time to his colleagues when in need of help in the office and his former roles as operations manager and partner & clients relations manager for a waste technology company are clearly evident here – Darren is a man who can!
Darren lives in Waterford with his wife and dog, Loki. He’s a big soccer and GAA fan, in fact he loves all sport and likes to travel when he can. He loves the gym and has some excellent tattoos.
Meet Maureen, a true Waterford native, and proud mom to her 2 little adventurers!
Before joining the team as Recruitment Consultant with Flexiforce, Maureen managed the Pandora store located in Waterford city. With a passion for brightening up a dark space, Maureen completed her Diploma in Interior Design in [year].
Outside of the office, she loves to be at one with the great outdoors, spending time on the beach with her kiddies, walking, or even sea swimming.
Ever hear of the band ‘No Hot Ashes’? Hint, Hint… the lead singer is Flexiforce’s team lead. That’s right! You heard it here first folks! The next time you see or hear the band playing live, keep your eyes and ears peels for our leading lady – Maureen Flynn!
Sarah is part of the team responsible for recruitment in Quality, Life Sciences, Administration, and Retail. Sarah has a Higher Certificate in Computer Science under her belt, as well as a Higher Cert in Digital Marketing & Social Media, both achieved at SETU.
A country girl at heart, Sarah loves nothing more than being on the farm. In fact, she’s a real animal lover but absolutely does not love spiders!
Life beyond the office is a thrilling journey for Sarah. From riding horse’s mountainside to mountain-biking around Ireland, Sarah is not one to shy away from an adventure or two! She recently completed the 2km swim at Killary Fjord in Galway. Sarah loves all things Star Wars and Lego – in fact, if its Star Wars Lego it’s a win win!
Meet Wexford native Conor – recruiter in the areas of Construction, Engineering, Trades & Hospitality. Before making his move to recruitment, Conor spent eight years working in hotel management and business management, bidding farewell with quite a story or two to tell!
Conor loves all kinds of music, spanning genres from classic to rock, with a bit of heavy metal sometimes thrown into the mix too! In his spare time, he enjoys being outdoors, and loves a camping trip with his family when he gets the chance.
Wendy joined the team in 2014 and is an integral part of the Finance Team. She has a Certificate in Information Technology from the University of Cambridge.
Wendy has a passion for Interior Design and loves pouring over magazine and Pinterest for inspiration. As well as regularly transforming her own home, she loves to help friends and family to pull together colour schemes and themes for theirs. Her other loves include gardening, fashion, and tennis.
Ciarán holds the important role of Administrator for our recruitment team, meaning his attention to detail is second to none. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science, achieved at SETU, and previously worked for a waste management firm in a customer service capacity.
Outside of work, Ciarán has a real passion for music, playing guitar and piano. 2023 has been a momentous year for Ciarán and his wife as they welcomed the arrival of their first baby!
Hailing from Wexford, Nicola comes from a Hospitality and Human Resources education background. She lived in Canada for five years where she worked in finance and human resource roles. Luckily for us, she returned home and joined the Training team where she progressed quickly to Regional Coordinator.
Outside of work, she loves walking, especially on the beach and where better than the stunning Wexford coastline for this! Yoga is a big part of Nicola’s life, and she recently completed a course in Reiki. She also loves reading with self-care and spiritual care titles being her favourite.
Originally from Kildare Gary moved to Waterford to go to college where he completed a Bachelor of Business specialising in management. These skills were put to the test as Gary spent over 5 years working in customer service progressing to a management position, before switching to pursue a career in recruitment.
Gary joined the Hartley people team to recruit in the areas of Retail, Production, and Warehouse among others. In his spare time Gary can be found watching sport or listening to music.
Meet Debbie, the longest serving member of the Hartley People team! Having been a part of the business since the very beginning, Debbie boasts over 22 years with the team remaining committed and diligent ever since.
Debbie is an IAPA certified Payroll Technician with a Diploma in Business Studies and Export Law. She is without a doubt our most popular team member on payday each week!
A real gym lover, she never misses a class, or as she calls it, her ‘Happy Hour’. She recently took part in ‘Hell & Back’, which she refers to as the best and worst experience of her life! Debbie loves going on holidays with her husband and walking her husky, Neo.
Claire is a former primary school teacher, who, after she had her own son, never returned to the classroom. She has a Bachelor of Education and previously worked for a tech firm training new hires for an American client.
Claire loves being close to the sea but proudly never in it! She can often be found doing Carpool Karaoke to Dermot Kennedy with her six-year-old son.
She enjoys upcycling and restoring old furniture for her house but also loves trips to Ikea for new bits!
Rachel joined Hartley People in 2023 as Accounts Assistant, hailing from Waterford city.
With a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Accounting, Rachel dives headfirst into the world of all things numeric – because who said numbers can’t be fun!!
With 7 years of administrative and operations experience in the coffee industry, Rachel brings a wealth of behind-the-scenes knowledge to the Accounts Department.
When she’s not conquering spreadsheets, Rachel’s passport gets to work, as her favourite thing to do is see and explore new and exciting places around the world!
Enrika supports the accounts department by assisting with bookkeeping, correspondence, reporting, and payroll, amongst other things.
She has a degree in legal studies and used to work in a solicitor’s office before joining the team at Hartley People.
Living in Wexford, she loves long evening drives along the coast during the Summer and likes to spend most of her free time at the beach regardless the time of year.
Originally from Poland, Viktoria moved to Waterford at the age of 5 with her larger-than-life family. Within the Hartley People team, Viktoria is a part of the Training and Development Department. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in psychology, and one day hopes to complete her Master’s in Clinical Psychology.
Before joining the team, Viktoria worked as Duty Manager in a busy Waterford City centre hotel.
When she’s not busy in the office, she can be found spending some quality time with her family and friends, particularly her nieces and nephews! Viktoria loves to get stuck into a good book in her spare time, and enjoys taking her dog Heidi on adventurous walks.
Waterford native Jenny is a part of the Hartley People Training team and is responsible for the coordination and overseeing of all contracted training projects.
With a background of management in a fast-paced pharmacy chain, Jenny swears by the gym for clearing her mind after a busy day in the office, but you won’t catch her on the treadmill as she much prefers weight training. In fact, Jenny has keen interest in all thing’s health & fitness and finds it hard to sit still at home!
A lover of tea, coffee, and Thai food, Jenny’s aspiration in life currently, is to travel more, making memories across the world with her family.
Michelle recruit’s tutors for both in-person and online tutors nationally. She’s a recent graduate from Shannon College of Hotel Management where she was awarded a degree in Hotel & Hospitality Management and has been lucky enough to work in some of the best 5-star hotels both in Ireland and in the UK.
A Waterford blow-in (he words, not ours!), Michelle enjoys catching up with family and friends back home in Limerick. She has a great love for dogs and looks forward to having her own to bring on plenty of walks along some of the many stunning Waterford beaches.
Kate holds the role of Procurement Specialist for our training team. She has an Honours degree in Hospitality Management, and previously worked for Ardkeen Quality Food Stores (for a marvellous 15 years!), before moving to Cartamundi as a Key Account Specialist.
Outside of work, Kate has a real lover of animals, and often says that she would rather spend time with her dog Callie than with humans! It’s true when they say ‘a dog’s friendship is like no other’.
Yvonne is a long-standing member of the Training team and is responsible for a team that works collectively on collaboration, success, and delivery of contracted training from beginning to end. An experienced manager with a Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Recreation and Sport Management focused on recreation and leisure.
Sport is Yvonne’s true passion with Camogie coming out on top, coaching her local intermediate team.
Yvonne is a big advocate for women in sport and takes her role as a mentor to young women in sport very seriously. A big rugby and football fan, she’ll never be seen to miss a match!
JJ is the safe pair of hands who ensures we get things (and sometimes people!), where they need to be, when they need to be! As our logistics manager, he is an integral piece of the Hartley People group and we’re convinced he doesn’t have the word ‘no’ in his vocabulary.
A proud Waterfordian, JJ plays a pivotal role in his beloved and very successful local GAA club, where he happily devotes much of his time organising fundraising and community events. He loves a pint and the craic with his many friends in his local pub and Bruce Springsteen – he’s been to see him so many times he’s lost count!
Business graduate Ciara works as part of our healthcare team.
A Waterford native, Ciara is passionate about sport and keeping fit, and previously worked as a Duty Manager in a busy local fitness centre where she really enjoyed working with clients and see people achieve their goals.
As a member of her local senior camogie club, most of Ciara’s spare time (outside of work) is taken up with training and playing matches. Her team celebrated winning the senior county final in 2022 – a core memory banked for Ciara.
Cara is part of our healthcare department, having recently joined the scheduling team as Scheduling Coordinator.
Hailing from Tramore, Cara resides in the seaside town of Dunmore East where she lives with her partner Eoghan, and 8-year-old daughter Áine.
Before joining the team, Cara worked in a family-run pharmacy as both an OTC and then as shop manager.
In her spare time, Cara loves to go for walks in her local area, playing Gaelic in the garden with Áine, or horse-riding.
Meet Nikita, recruiter extraordinaire with the healthcare team.
Born and raised in Dungarvan, Nikita spent many years away between her studies and travelling Australia before returning and taking up roots again in her hometown.
A qualified Social Care Worker, during the pandemic, Nikita added another string to her bow by completing her studies in HR Management at SETU.
During the initial years of her career, Nikita worked in the residential service for adults and intellectual disabilities both as a Social Care Worker and as a Care Manager, before transitioning to her recruitment career, initially with Morgan McKinley in Cork before joining the team here.
When out of office, Nikita loves to read a good book, spending time with family and friends, and relishing every culinary delight that life has to offer!
Before joining the Hartley People Team, Mia worked as a freelance tutor working with TY students on stress management and mindset, as well as mobility and functional movement. She has a degree in Tourism and Economics and is currently studying for another in Psychology.
Mia works in the Training and Development department as QA Officer.
Her hobbies include practicing martial arts and she is currently training for her black belt in Kickboxing. Mia is also a Crew Member with Waterford City River rescue.
Liz works as part of our healthcare team and is a proud Waterford woman. With a background in pharmacy, Liz worked as a retail assistant for over 23 years for a well-known pharmacy group. During this time, she specialised in beauty and skincare and is a self-proclaimed beauty expert.
With the onset of the pandemic in early 2020, Liz took some time out to be at home with her son, during which time she retrained as a healthcare assistant, leading to her current role as Scheduling Coordinator. Liz is also a very proud mum to beautiful twin daughters.

Pierre, originally from the south of France, joined us in the summer of 2024. Having lived in Ireland for over 15 years, he has developed strong ties to Waterford, where he and his wife are raising their two children.
After completing a Master’s in International Management, Pierre embarked on a successful career across the telecommunications, digital publishing, and marketing technology industries, where he notably worked as Commercial, Marketing Automation, and Customer Success Director, as well as holding strategic operational roles.
Outside of work, he can often be found taking the kids to their activities. True to his French roots, Pierre has a love for good food and wine. He’s always on the lookout for a dry, sunny day, and though he enjoys the idea of one day being good at golf, he admits that time and natural talent are lacking.
Introducing Sarah Dalton!
‘Born, bread, and buttered’ (Sarah’s own words!) in Waterford, Sarah has spent her life exploring the scenic surroundings that make up the Déise landscape.
Sarah’s educational journey found her exploring the topics of travel and tourism before she took on a road trip across Spain. With a passion for yoga, she then decided to complete a teacher training course, obtaining her Yoga Teacher certification in 2021.
Outside of the office, Sarah can be found horse-riding, cooking, taking on spontaneous adventures, catching up with friends in her local coffee shop, or perfecting her warrior pose on one of the many beaches across Waterford.
Meet Evan!
Evan recently joined our expanding healthcare team as Scheduling Coordinator.
With an education background in healthcare and intellectual disability, Evan’s caring and kind nature saw him work across palliative care and specialised disability care for children and adults before making the move to the operations side of the industry.
In his spare time, Evan loves catching up with his friends over a coffee, singing, and going for a walk with his partner and their chihuahua Louis along the beautiful beaches of Wexford.
Bernie is our healthcare team’s Nurse Manager, hailing from Callan Co. Kilkenny.
Having trained at Norwich Park Hospital London in the early 1980s, Bernie has gained an expansive career to date.
Working across the Emergency Department to General surgeries, Bernie has previously gained experience as Clinical Placement Coordinator, Clinical Nurse Manager, and Assistant Director at UHW, where she managed decision making and evaluation of best practices in line with safe discharge of patients to their own home other institutions Nursing homes, and or other hospitals.
Bernie loves giving back to her local community and participates in many activities including golf, and the gym.
Adam has joined our healthcare division as Sales and Marketing Executive.
Hailing from Tramore, Adam completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business specialising in Marketing with French at SETU. Upon graduation, he moved to Cork where he worked as a Sales & Marketing Graduate Manager and Accounting & Finance Recruitment Consultant.
Adam is an enthusiastic Chelsea FC fan and tries to get over to see as many matches as he can!
Outside of the office, he plays for the Tramore Rangers as Centre Mid.
If he’s not cooking up a storm in the kitchen, he’s seeking his next big travel adventure, with an aim to tick a new country off the list!
Hailing from Carrick-on-Suir (the Waterford side, mind you!) Nigel is responsible for recruitment in the areas of IT, Research & Development, Hospitality, Trades and Service Technicians.
Nigel is always up to speed on the latest technological advances, and so naturally, is always the go-to-person for any ‘tech’ problems with phones, printers, computers, (or coffee machines!)
Many will recognise Nigel as the calm, steady (and very deep!) voice on the WLR airwaves until recently, telling the sport-mad Déise all about the latest stories, fixtures, and results on the bulletins and on his own weekly show ‘On the Ball.’
A camera is never far from his hand, with many of his photographs having featured in national newspapers, as well as many a living room wall.
He can often be found strolling the beach, coffee in hand, if the rugby isn’t on! Weekends are spent going for a run, playing videogames, or rewatching ‘The Wire’ for the 100th time. He is also an enthusiastic amateur gardener, and will tell you all about it, if you stand still for long enough!
Nigel will always make those around him laugh, he puts people at ease as he loves to chat, will always go the extra mile to help someone out, and he is definitely the friend you want on your team at a table quiz.
