Hartley People Recruitment are hiring on behalf of our client for a Technical Sales Executive to support continued growth across the manufacturing sector in Ireland.
This is a full-time remote role with regular travel across the Leinster region. Candidates should ideally be based within Dublin, Kildare, Louth, Wicklow, or Meath and be open to travel within the territory as required.
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will play a key role in managing existing customer relationships while identifying new business opportunities within the
manufacturing industry. The position focuses on selling end-of-line printing, coding, marking, and automation solutions to sectors such as Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Food and Beverage manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Sales s Business Development
- Manage and grow an existing customer base while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned territory
- Build strong relationships with manufacturers and key decision makers
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through to order confirmation and after-sales support
- Deliver commercial proposals and negotiate pricing within company guidelines
Customer Engagement s Demonstration
- Conduct regular on-site product demonstrations for customers
- Present technical solutions and explain equipment capabilities to production and engineering teams
- Work closely with customers to identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and product traceability
Account Management s Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of customer activity, quotations, and opportunities within the CRM system
- Provide regular sales updates and reporting to management
- Attend industry trade shows and events to support business development
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet customer needs
The Ideal Candidate
- 2–3 years’ experience in a field-based B2B sales role such as Technical Sales, Account Management, Business Development, or Sales Engineering
- Experience working in a target-driven sales environment
- Strong relationship building and negotiation skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong organisation, planning, and time management ability
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own schedule and territory
- Confident engaging with business owners, managing directors, and production or engineering managers
- Strong PC skills including MS Office and video meeting platforms
Desirable
- Experience within manufacturing, factory automation, or the packaging industry
- Experience selling industrial equipment, coding, marking, labelling, or automation solutions
- Experience using CRM systems
- Third-level qualification in a technical or business discipline
Requirements
- Full clean Irish driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel regularly within the assigned territory
