Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of a client in the construction industry is recruiting a Quantity Surveyor in Wexford.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented person to join a growing and busy construction team. The successful candidate will provide support in the commercial management of construction projects. They should have strong numerical and analytical skills and have prior experience in a QS role. This role serves a vital function within the company and helps to ensure projects are delivered within budget.
The Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of cost estimates, budgets and cost plans
- Provide support to the procurement department with the procurement process including obtaining and analysing quotations
- Assisting in monthly cost reporting including preparation of interim valuations
- Track variations in project costs
- Assist with maintaining financial records and documentation
- Assist with managing subcontractor accounts
- Ensure contractual and commercial requirements are adhered to
The Person
Competencies:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (essential)
- 2-5 years’ experience in a QS role (essential)
- Strong understanding of construction contracts such as RIAI
- Computer literate with proficiency in Excel
- Strong communication skills
- Full, clean driving licence
What will make you stand out:
- Experience working on construction projects within Ireland
- Experience with reinforced concrete frame/apartments
