Hartley People Recruitment are working closely with our trusted client to recruit an experienced Food Production Team Lead to join a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a leadership role within a growing and dynamic business.
Due to continued expansion across mainland Europe, this position is available immediately for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee daily production activities across a 3-shift cycle, ensuring all operations run in line with production schedules and quality standards
- Supervise the receipt and processing of raw materials, ensuring compliance with food safety and quality procedures
- Monitor and maintain production equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to hygiene and safety standards
- Conduct quality control checks on raw materials, finished products, and packaging
- Maintain accurate production records including batch numbers, product codes, and output volumes
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Train, support, and supervise production staff, driving high performance and adherence to best practices
- Ensure cleaning and sanitation standards are consistently met across all shifts
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a food production or processing environment, ideally in a leadership or supervisory capacity
- Strong understanding of quality control standards and food safety regulations
- Experience operating and troubleshooting production machinery
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow and enforce procedures
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to work a rotating 3-shift cycle, including evenings and weekends.
