Hartley People Recruitment on behalf of a valued client is recruiting a Production Planner in Waterford.
This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical, numerically minded individual to join a strong team in a multi award winning company. The position sits at the centre of the company’s supply chain and will serve as a key link between multiple teams ensuring resources are maximised.
The successful candidate will be flexible as the role is dynamic and involves spending time on the production floor with ops, managers and others in the business.
The Job
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation of work order for planning production and non-chargeable hours
- Process and input sales orders into ERP system, ensuring they are correct and in line with customer capacity
- Production planning for individual work centres and machines
- Collaboration with departments (production and purchasing) regarding planning
- Ensure Master file is kept up to date on production changes that would affect the planning process
- Preparation of reports for senior management
- Analysis of production data
- Daily reporting of KPIs
- Escalate issues that arise regarding meeting customer requirements and assisting with the resolution of these issues
- Ensure customer portals are updated
- Administrative duties in line with the role
The Person
Competencies:
- 1+ years’ experience in an office-based role, ideally some experience in a manufacturing or planning role (essential)
- Bachelor’s degree or Certificate in business or related field (essential)
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP and CRM systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple conflicting demands
- Keen eye for detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage relationships
