Hartley People Recruitment is seeking a Machine Operator to join our client’s team in Waterford.
The right candidate will have experience operating machinery in a production environment. Because of the unique nature of the machinery used, full training will be provided. The successful candidate will have the opportunity for cross training depending on performance.
There is a 2 shift rotation for this role, one week of early and one week of late. The early shift is 6am-2pm and the late shift is 2pm-10pm.
The Job
- Process raw materials into finished components using production machinery
- Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure smooth operating of machinery
- Follow production schedules and procedures to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Perform quality checks on machine output to ensure adherence to company standards
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor
The Person
Competencies:
- Previous experience operating machinery in a production environment
- Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and effectively
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
