The Role
Hartley People Recruitment are seeking General Operatives on behalf of a long-standing client within the FMCG industry based in Waterford.
Working as part of a busy production team, you will support the food manufacturing process while ensuring high standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities will include operating production machinery and equipment, monitoring production lines, carrying out routine quality checks and ensuring raw materials are available for production. You will also maintain accurate production and quality records, adhere to food safety and hygiene standards, report machinery issues and work closely with the wider team to meet production targets.
The Person
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP, would be beneficial.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures and instructions.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliable and hardworking with a strong work ethic.
• Flexible to work night shifts and overtime where required.
• Physically fit and comfortable working across multiple floors within a large mill environment.
• Comfortable with manual handling and being on your feet for extended periods.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards.
