Overview
Hartley People Recruitment is currently working with a well-established manufacturing business in West Waterford to recruit a Plastics Fabricator.
This role will involve the fabrication of custom-built components and products using plastic materials, working from detailed drawings and specifications. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring high standards of accuracy, finish, and quality across all work completed.
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with a strong practical background and a focus on precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate components in line with technical drawings and job specifications.
- Carry out plastic welding and bonding processes to assemble and finish products.
- Perform deburring, edge finishing, and general finishing processes to achieve high-quality standards.
- Operate a range of cutting, shaping, and finishing tools to produce accurate components.
- Ensure all work is completed to strict quality and safety standards.
- Work collaboratively to identify and resolve fabrication or build issues.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
- Support general workshop activities as required to ensure efficient workflow.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Experience in plastic fabrication, welding, or similar workshop-based processes would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and finish.
- Background in Carpentry, Cabinet Making, Welding, or similar practical trades would be beneficial.
- Good problem-solving ability and a practical, hands-on approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
