About the Company

A well-established contractor operating in the construction and civil engineering sector. The business delivers projects nationwide across utilities, infrastructure, and specialist construction.

Due to continued growth, they are hiring an Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality (EHSQ) Manager to support ongoing and future projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and maintain the company’s Environmental, Health, Safety & Quality management systems.
  • Prepare, review and approve Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
  • Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance checks; issue corrective actions and follow through to closeout.
  • Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and training sessions for new and existing personnel.
  • Manage accident/incident investigations and implement preventative measures.
  • Maintain documentation to support certification requirements (e.g., Safe T Cert, ISO standards).
  • Review subcontractor safety files and ensure compliance with site procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety, environmental performance and quality.
  • Support project managers with EHSQ planning and documentation for upcoming works.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Health & Safety or EHS discipline (Level 7 or above preferred).
  • Proven experience in EHS role within construction, civil or related project-based industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation, standards and best practice.
  • Confident communicator — able to influence and engage with all levels of site personnel.
  • Strong report writing, documentation control and incident investigation skills.
  • Full driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
