Accounts Payable
Location: Dungarvan, Co. Waterford
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional to join a busy finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in accounts payable processes to take responsibility for accurate and timely invoice processing and payments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Payable email inbox.
- Code supplier invoices through the Sage PO system, including department, project reference, nominal ledger and tax codes.
- Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger and reconcile supplier statements.
- Prepare payment lists and process cheque payments.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve invoice queries.
- Post monthly cashbook transactions, including EFT, credit card, direct debit and RCT postings.
- Assist with month-end closing procedures.
- Support the year-end audit process by providing requested documentation.
Key Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
- Good understanding of Irish tax requirements, particularly VAT.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable, but not essential
- Experience using Sage 50 or Sage 200.
- Previous experience in a similar Accounts Payable or finance role.
- A relevant finance or accounting qualification, such as ATI.
