Experience
For over 25 years, Hartley People has recruited for businesses across Ireland — giving us an understanding of different industries, operating models and the people behind effective technology teams.
The right technology hire can ship product faster, secure your systems and turn data into decisions. The wrong hire can cost you time, delivery and momentum.
Hartley People partners with businesses across Ireland to recruit IT and technology professionals who fit the role, the stack and the way your team builds.
A job title only tells us part of the story. Before we start searching, we want to understand your technology environment.
We use that information to build the search around the technologist your business actually needs. Not simply someone whose CV matches a list of keywords.
Technology roles can look similar on paper while requiring very different people.
An engineer building a new product needs a different skill set from one keeping a business-critical platform stable.
A deep stack specialist is a different hire from an all-rounder in a small IT team.
Recruiting a Head of Engineering or IT Manager requires us to understand architecture, delivery, budgets and team-building as much as technical skill.
Across all major industries, from graduate to Head of IT.

LinkedInDigital skills are now needed across the Irish economy, not just in Dublin's tech multinationals. Manufacturers, med-tech, financial services and regional businesses are building their own software, data and security capability, often competing with much larger employers for the same people. We help you present the role so the right people take it seriously.
Our technology recruitment model is built around three principles that guide every search we run.
For over 25 years, Hartley People has recruited for businesses across Ireland — giving us an understanding of different industries, operating models and the people behind effective technology teams.
Our team of 50+ professionals is supported by 2 dedicated Strategic Sourcing Specialists, combining recruitment expertise, technical market knowledge and an advanced suite of sourcing technology.
A successful technology hire needs to work for both sides. We represent your stack, workload and working model accurately and assess candidate motivation carefully, so candidates understand the role, expectations and business they're considering joining.
Experienced engineers, data and security professionals are often already employed, well looked after and regularly approached about new roles. Waiting for them to apply is not enough. Our search can combine:
Our two Strategic Sourcing Specialists work alongside our recruiters to identify relevant professionals and create routes into candidate markets beyond traditional job advertising.
Technical skill needs context. When assessing a candidate, we want to understand:
This helps your hiring team spend time interviewing candidates with genuine relevance to your technical requirement.

We don’t start with a standard search. We start with what you need the person to achieve — and build the recruitment approach from there.
With offices in Dublin and Waterford, Hartley People supports businesses recruiting IT and technology talent across Ireland.
You understand your systems, product and what needs to be delivered. We understand how to search, engage and qualify the people who can help you deliver it.
A few of the questions employers ask us most often about hiring IT and technology talent in Ireland.
We recruit across software development, data and analytics, infrastructure and cloud, cybersecurity, and product and delivery — from Software Engineers, Data Analysts and Cloud Engineers through to Technical Leads, Engineering Managers and Heads of IT. We also recruit Business Analysts, Project Managers and Implementation Specialists.
Yes. With offices in Waterford and Dublin, we recruit IT and technology talent across Ireland, not just in the capital — for on-site, hybrid and remote roles.
Many experienced engineers, data and security professionals are already employed and rarely respond to job ads, so we don't rely on advertising alone. Our two Strategic Sourcing Specialists use direct sourcing, LinkedIn Recruiter, market mapping and our 150,000+ candidate network to reach passive candidates who fit your specific requirement.
We look at what they've actually built, the technologies they've used in production, the environment they worked in and what they owned and delivered — not just keywords. This helps your hiring team spend time only with candidates who have genuine relevance to your technical requirement.
Yes. Cybersecurity, cloud, data engineering and senior engineering roles are among the most competitive searches in Ireland. We use market mapping and direct sourcing to reach people who aren't on job boards — and we'll tell you honestly where the salary, skills list or working model may need to flex.
It depends on the seniority of the role and how niche the stack is — an IT Support Analyst search moves faster than a Cloud Architect search requiring a very specific platform background. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we understand what you need the hire to deliver.
Fees depend on the seniority and complexity of the role. Get in touch and we'll talk you through pricing for your specific requirement — no obligation.
Tell us about the role and what you need that person to deliver. We'll talk you through the market, the search and how we can support your hiring team.
