Multi Task Assistant

As a Multi-Task Assistant, you will ensure the smooth operation of the healthcare facility whilst supporting other healthcare professionals. Your ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, along with your in-depth knowledge of healthcare procedures, will be crucial to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

· Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, eating, and mobility.

· Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse, as directed by healthcare professionals.

· Administer medications and treatments according to prescribed guidelines and maintain accurate records.

· Support residents with rehabilitation exercises and mobility aids as necessary.

· Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding, considering dietary restrictions and individual preferences.

· Provide companionship and engage residents in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

· Ensure the cleanliness and tidiness of resident rooms and communal areas, including making beds, changing linens, and organizing personal belongings.

· Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records and reports.

· Respond to emergency situations promptly and follow established protocols.

· Follow all infection control and safety procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free environment.

· Provide support and assistance to residents’ families, addressing their concerns and providing updates on their loved ones’ well-being.

Qualifications:

· Previous experience as a Multi-Task Assistant or in a similar role within a healthcare setting.

· Level 5 in healthcare or equivalent qualification.

· Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures and practices.

· Compassionate and patient demeanour with a genuine interest in the well-being of residents.

· Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with residents, families, and the healthcare team.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work well under pressure.

· Basic computer skills for maintaining resident records and accessing necessary information.

· Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
