Hartley People Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Laboratory Team Leader to join our client’s busy team. This is a 12-month contract working on a continental shift cycle, alternating between 12-hour days and nights.
Responsibilities include:
- Planning and ensuring that the testing schedule is met.
- Managing a group of testing operators in daily laboratory tasks
- Ensuring conformance with all relevant Policies and Procedures.
- Problem-solving of test equipment.
- Manage of sample retention and stability.
- Manage Planned and Unplanned Maintenance on test Equipment.
- Manage Planned and Unplanned Excursions for the laboratory.
- Contributing to Quality Reports that pertain to the Technical
- Completion of Performance Excellence Assessments and Development Plans to promote Continuous Improvement.
- Ensuring the Department conducts its business in a manner designed to be protective of human health, safety and the environment.
- Co Ordinate and implement process and equipment projects.
- Validation of new processes and development of technical documentation for areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and performing other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- 3rd level qualification in Engineering or Science
- Minimum of 2 years experience in people leading.
- Laboratory experience essential.
- People management skills.
- Experience in the scheduling and running of a lab.
