Key Account Executive

Our esteemed client, a leading company in Waterford, is seeking a Key Account Executive to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills in key account management and business development, while working with a diverse portfolio of clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and nurture existing key accounts, serving as the primary point of contact and building strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ needs, goals, and challenges to identify opportunities for upselling, cross-selling, and providing tailored solutions.
  • Implement strategic account plans to maximize client satisfaction and retention, ensuring their business objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to deliver exceptional customer service and exceed client expectations.
  • Generate new business opportunities by identifying and targeting potential clients through market research, networking, and referrals.
  • Conduct sales presentations and negotiate contract terms to secure new client partnerships.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to provide insightful recommendations to clients and proactively address their evolving needs.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on key account performance, revenue forecasts, and sales pipeline.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in key account management, business development, or sales, preferably within Waterford.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust, rapport, and credibility with clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand clients’ business objectives and develop strategic solutions that drive mutual success.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant tools to track and manage client relationships.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to meet clients and attend industry events, as required.
