Agricultural Lead

Hartley People Recruitment in partnership with our client are seeking applications for an Agricultural Lead to join their team based in Kilmeaden, County Waterford in the Agri sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster close working relationships with customers, maintaining a dedicated customer portfolio – managing customer accounts, including the responsibility for efficient debt collection.
  • Collaborate closely with the branch manager and local business manager to identify and develop new sales opportunities. Re-engage with lapsed customers to revitalize business relationships.
  • Provide comprehensive agricultural technical knowledge and guidance to all customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
  • Diligently monitor and manage inventory, focusing on the company’s core agricultural products during critical seasonal periods.
  • Proactively identify and report potential safety risks, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Strictly adhere to the organisations established processes and procedures as outlined by internal audit guidelines.
  • Collaborate with and support cross-functional teams on various campaigns and projects.
  • Exhibit the company’s culture and core values consistently in all interactions and activities.
  • Participate in the engagement and development of the YATD program, contributing to the growth of talent within the organisation.

Requirements:

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of agricultural practices and products.
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills, particularly in problem-solving situations.
  • Function as a collaborative team player while having the ability to lead and manage when necessary.
  • Be self-driven and ambitious, capable of working independently while following directives.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage customer accounts and inventory effectively.

Skills:

  • It is desirable for the candidate to have a background in agriculture or farming, which would enhance their understanding of customer needs.
  • Possession of a forklift license is a plus.
