Hartley People Recruitment in partnership with our client are seeking applications for an Agricultural Lead to join their team based in Kilmeaden, County Waterford in the Agri sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster close working relationships with customers, maintaining a dedicated customer portfolio – managing customer accounts, including the responsibility for efficient debt collection.
- Collaborate closely with the branch manager and local business manager to identify and develop new sales opportunities. Re-engage with lapsed customers to revitalize business relationships.
- Provide comprehensive agricultural technical knowledge and guidance to all customers, ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Diligently monitor and manage inventory, focusing on the company’s core agricultural products during critical seasonal periods.
- Proactively identify and report potential safety risks, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Strictly adhere to the organisations established processes and procedures as outlined by internal audit guidelines.
- Collaborate with and support cross-functional teams on various campaigns and projects.
- Exhibit the company’s culture and core values consistently in all interactions and activities.
- Participate in the engagement and development of the YATD program, contributing to the growth of talent within the organisation.
Requirements:
- Possess in-depth knowledge of agricultural practices and products.
- Demonstrate strong communication skills, particularly in problem-solving situations.
- Function as a collaborative team player while having the ability to lead and manage when necessary.
- Be self-driven and ambitious, capable of working independently while following directives.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage customer accounts and inventory effectively.
Skills:
- It is desirable for the candidate to have a background in agriculture or farming, which would enhance their understanding of customer needs.
- Possession of a forklift license is a plus.
