They are a leading player in the food manufacturing industry, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers while maintaining a commitment to sustainability and efficiency. We are seeking a Lean Production Specialist to join their dynamic team and help drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
Job Description:
As a Lean Production Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in optimising our production processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall efficiency. We are looking for a candidate with a proven track record in Lean methodologies, ideally with experience in the food manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and facilitate Lean production initiatives, driving a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and implement Lean tools and techniques, such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen events, and Kanban systems.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor production teams in Lean principles and methodologies.
- Monitor and report on the progress of Lean initiatives, ensuring that objectives are met.
- Implement visual management systems to enhance transparency and accountability.
- Identify and recommend process automation opportunities to improve production efficiency.
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging Lean trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Operations Management, etc.) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven track record in Lean methodologies, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Lean production.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is highly desirable but not essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus.
