Moulding Engineering Manager – Waterford –

Hartley People Recruitment are working closing with our well-established client in search of a talented and experienced Moulding Engineering Manager. The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated, self-directed individual and a proven track record of success in leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support new product introduction activities for products, processes, or technologies, and for the enhancement or extension of existing product lines.
  • Develop and implement changes to key processes to achieve sustained performance, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Lead and manage a cross-functional team across different skillsets and disciplines to carry out activities required in the RFQ process for new products and projects, and subsequent project activities associated with new business wins.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines for assigned projects.
  • Identify and manage project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure that project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and expertise to support the development of new products and projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and guidance to team members to enhance their technical and professional skills.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.

 

Requirements:

  • A Third Level Qualification in Engineering or related field.
  • 3 years’ experience in Moulding Engineering, product development, or related field.
  • Experience leading and managing cross-functional teams in an organisation.
  • Strong technical knowledge of moulding processes, tooling, and materials.
  • Demonstrated experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience in the medical device industry is preferred.
