Mechanical Design Engineer – Intermediate

We are currently seeking skilled Mechanical Design Engineers to join our growing design and engineering team. This presents an exceptional opportunity for you to become part of a youthful, expanding team, contributing to various projects in the pharmaceutical, biomedical, and food processing industries. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will tackle unique challenges by crafting innovative solutions that address production, ergonomic, and safety concerns within both GMP and non-GMP environments.

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities:

  • Collaborative Design Solutions: You will work closely with our project manager to conceptualize and create tailor-made solutions. This involves designing, refining 3D models, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), and producing meticulous drawings for client approval and manufacturing.

  • Project Documentation and Quality: Your keen attention to detail will be crucial as you raise purchase orders and ensure that project-specific quality documentation is completed. Your commitment to quality assurance will play a pivotal role in the smooth execution of our projects.

  • Customer and Supplier Interaction: Utilize your expertise in mechanical design to interact effectively with customers and suppliers. Your ability to understand and address their needs will contribute to successful project outcomes.

  • Technical Proficiency: Apply your hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor or a similar CAD program to transform your design concepts into functional prototypes. Experience working with stainless steel is advantageous.

  • Continuous Learning and Innovation: If you possess a passion for 3D scanning and proficiency in handling point cloud and mesh files, you’ll have ample opportunities to apply these skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong background in mechanical design for manufacture, preferably in fabrication.

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.

  • Diploma or degree in an engineering discipline, providing a solid foundation for innovation and problem-solving.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in customer and supplier interaction, ensuring clear communication and seamless collaboration.

  • Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor or similar CAD software.

  • Knowledge of stainless steel and its applications in design.

  • Expertise in generating detailed 2D drawings for manufacturing purposes.

  • Experience working within Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environments is a valuable asset.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

  • Proven ability to follow established processes, while also contributing to process improvement.

  • Passion for cutting-edge technologies, including 3D scanning and point cloud manipulation.
