Hartley People Recruitment are seeking a Fitter to join our client in Dublin 24 to troubleshoot and repair company equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a wide range of hire equipment and tools to ensure quality, safety, reliability, and availability of hire stock.
- Ensure maximum workshop productivity aligning with company targets.
- Conduct statutory inspections and adhere to damage process, highlighting product damage according to health and safety guidelines.
- Advise on product defects related to health and safety and equipment reliability.
- Perform daily and weekly audits to maintain equipment quality.
- Comply with company safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment and maintaining a tidy work environment.
- Champion health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) to safeguard the business, employees, and customers.
- Collaborate with Workshop Supervisor on spare parts acquisition for cost-effective repairs.
- Identify repairs covered under warranty and follow internal test and repair processes.
- Maintain service records and update internal computerised system.
- Ensure equipment is cleaned to a high standard before hire.
- Adhere to safety accident management systems and stay updated on technical bulletins.
- Perform routine service, repair, and refurbishment of hire equipment and products.
- Maintain a customer-centric approach, delivering excellent customer service.
- Support other departments and promote teamwork across all HSS locations.
- Manage operational priorities through equipment testing.
- Demonstrate behaviors aligned with company values, emphasising safety, customer satisfaction, innovation, and teamwork.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in servicing and repairing hire equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining equipment quality.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet company productivity targets.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with computerised systems for record keeping.
- Flexibility to assist in other areas when needed.
